The Saving of American Exceptionalism

It appears Gov. Mitt Romney has moved toward to the center-right, and well he should have, to pick up more votes. He is pretty much a just right of center kind of guy and that will have to do. I say just right of center because, while he is on the conservative side, he also has some leftist leaning tendencies in his heart of hearts, e.g.., he seems to believe global warming is a concern. Still, he is to the right enough that I can whole-hearted support him.  Despite all of my earlier reservations and some which I continue to harbor today, I am sure he will end up being something of a Ronaldus-Reaganus-magnum type of leader and that alone is enough for me to support him in every way I can.

Let us hope and pray he wins this election. As for me, I am hopeful that he will and he just might do it in a landslide. Let’s hope I am right about the landslide idea; that will give him more of a mandate to carry out more of his professed agenda. A landslide will also carry enough Republican Senate candidates to victory to smooth the way for his agenda.

Our American Exceptionalism is at Stake

One of the greatest benefits of a Romney/Ryan win will be a sensible emphasis on job creation by making it easier to small businesses to grow and, therefore, employ a lot of people.  Another benefit will be a strong push to enforce the complete Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments of the U.S. Constitution), which include, among other rights: Amendment I, (freedom of religion), Amendment II (the right to keep and bear arms); Amendment IV (right to be secure in our person, houses, papers and effects). And, finally, there are two additional amendments that I think are in need of enforcement: Amendment IX (The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people); and Amendment X (powers not delegated to the Federal Government, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States. All 10 Amendments are important but the above enumerated amendments stick out in my mind as the ones most in need of defending today. I am convinced that a President Romney will defend those amendments. I believe these are all parts of the centerpiece of Mitt Romney’s agenda for America, and I believe following these policies will save the American exceptionalism that we have always taken for granted.

Please dear God Almighty; allow us, the citizens of America to escape the clutches of Pres. Obama and his atheistic, Moslem-loving, Marxist-socialist policies. I pray Thee, dear Lord, enlighten our minds with the light of Thy knowledge, and lead us in the path of Thy commandments; by the intercessions of Thine all-immaculate Mother, our Lady  the Theotokos and Ever-virgin Mary, and of all Thy Saints, for blessed art Thou unto all ages of ages. Amen.
