Yes, there are considerable differences between the Western and the Eastern Christian perspectives. Nonetheless, while there is a greater divergence of opinion in the West, these two regions of Christendom share the same basic understandings of right and wrong when it comes to the basic tenants and dogmas of Christianity. This is true even though they arrive at this consensus by differing routes from differing starting points. They both believe in the sanctity of life, marriage, as they are in agreement on other dogmatic matters, as is shown by the united front they show in the Manhattan Declaration.

This blog post relates directly to the Manhattan Declaration – whether abortion is ever acceptable. Of course, the Western Christian worldview differs from that of the Eastern Christian worldview.
