Wait for the video Failed Leadership Timeline to appear in the big TV window. When it does, a link will appear with it in the lower-right hand corner of the window that says “CLICK TO WATCH THE VIDEO.” Click it and see one of the best political videos you have ever seen. It takes you through the major points along that timeline of failed leadership by President Obama in the British Petroleum oil spill in the gulf. In this video you will see why the BP oil spill is such a game changer for the political scene in America.

Note: I do not suggest you give money to RightChange.com until they make it clear who is behind their website

God allowed the BP oil spill to teach us a lesson

I believe God has allowed the BP oil spill to happen to America because nothing short of such a calamity would finally show the remainder of the American electorate who still believe in President Obama and his liberal agenda is not the best way to a free lunch. Liberalism (a.k.a. socialism, communism, Marxism) is wrong: dead wrong. The only people it helps is the ruling class. Not a single poor person has ever been given a leg up economically by liberalism. Many have been re-enslaved by liberalism, but none have ever seen their lot improved by liberalism.

A president badly needs business experience before he becomes president

How could anyone expect a man and a party composed of people, 90+% of whom, including the president, have never been the CEO of so much as a Kool-Aid stand, to be able to know how to manage an entity as large as America.

Add to that the man, the president in this case, had three strikes against his abilities to understand and be capable of being the CEO of U.S. government.

I confess I am wrong to say he had three strikes against him. He had a lot more strikes against him.

Here is a short list, though not an exhaustive list, of the strikes against him:

He is an academic.

He is an egomaniac.

He grew up loving Marxism and Marxist leadership.

He hates America.

He hates white people, even though his mother was white.

He attended a church where hate for America, white people, and the Constitution of the United States that was composed and voted on by white people, was loudly proclaimed by his pastor every Sunday and every chance he got outside of church.

He is a product of Chicago gangster-style government.

He is believes government is more munificent and intelligent, and, ipso facto, better knows than does the electorate, how to care for you and your needs from cradle to grave; and, as a bonus, it better knows when you should finally repose in your grave than you, your family, and your physician.

Instead of liberals like those, we would do well to listen to God and to those who would conserve His ways. The only way for us to bring back the American exceptionalism that we have lost is to follow the constitutional conservative way. The best hope for us to get started along that way is to elect Republicans—constitutional conservative Republicans—when and where possible. That means no more big spender Republicans like we have been electing for the last twenty plus years.

No more big spenders

We don’t need big spender Republicans in office who will triple the size of the federal government, as did George W. Bush. We need real conservatives. Do you realize that Bill Clinton was the most conservative president we have had since Ronald Reagan

I think it good that Obama became our president

I must say that I was pleased that we elected Obama as president rather than the Republican John McCain. Had we elected John McCain he would have tried his best to ruined America, just as Obama has tried to do. And he would probably have forever ruined any chance that we would ever believe in the promises of Republicans again. Therefore, I was very pleased when Obama was elected president. He has given us a political enema like no one else could have given us.

God knows, we don’t

God knows when we need to suffer. He knows the right choice of the moment that is most beneficial for the soul. We don’t. We can pray that the coke machine will cough up a coke when we put our money in the slot and it usually will. But God isn’t a coke machine. When you pray to God for a coke, you may get one in answer to your prayer if God thinks it will be good for your soul. God answers our every prayer, He just does always give us the answer we want.

We must remember the lessons that God has taught America through the idiocy of President Obama. That remembrance will be the right change for us.

President Obama has mismanaged the oil spill on purpose

I can’t add this to the strikes list I gave above, but I am convinced that President Obama’s clumsy handling of the British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is not the result of his lack of managerial skills but is purposeful. I won’t take the time to go into why he would do such a thing here. But you can probably figure that out yourself. If many of you say you don’t understand why he might do such a thing, I will try to address that subject. You might have noticed I am not doing much on this blog right now. That is because I am busy trying to make enough money to survive in this economy.

Why is President Obama suing to invalidate the Arizona law on illegal immigration? Why is he incurring the enmity of even his own Democratic Congressmen from the Phoenix and Tucson areas by trying to kill a law that two-thirds of Arizona and a similar proportion of America as a whole supports?

The answer: It is a desperate, last ditch attempt to rebuild his sagging popularity with America’s Hispanic voters.

Furious at Obama for failing to keep his election year promise to promote comprehensive immigration reform when he had a super-majority at his disposal, they are deserting the president and his party in droves. Unemployment, a sagging economy, and their sharp disagreement with Obama over social issues don’t help the president’s cause any.

So Obama has seized on the Arizona immigration law as a symbolic target, hoping to accomplish in a lawsuit the political task of rebuilding his base.

Remember that in 2008, Obama won precisely the same share of the white vote that Kerry won in 2004. There was a shift among whites as the Obama won more young whites and lost more older ones, but the white vote ratios as a whole remained constant. His entire margin of victory was based on two factors:

a) The African-American vote rose from 11% of the total in 2004 to 14% in 2008 and virtually all voted for Obama; and

b) Latinos, who had backed Kerry by only 10 points, supported Obama by fifty points.

For Obama to have a shot at keeping Democrats in control of Congress, he must replicate the enthusiasm of 2008 among minorities. But his Hispanic flank is definitely weakened. Hence the lawsuit to shore it up.

The answer on immigration reform is to adopt a three part program to dry up the jobs that attract illegal migrants in the first place. When there are no jobs, they will not come and those who are here will go back home without deportations or roundups.

We need to:

1. Strengthen penalties and enforcement of laws barring people and companies from hiring illegal immigrants. Those who do so should face prison time.

2. We need a fool proof national bio-metric ID card so employers can tell who is legal and who is not.

3. We should implement a broad guest worker program to bring upscale and manual workers into the US to fill our labor force needs. They must get at least the minimum wage and have health benefits. But, when the job is over, they must go home.

Democrats won’t embrace this program because the unions won’t let them and because they want illegals to stay here and become Democratic voters. Republican agri-businesses won’t go for it because they want to exploit illegal workers with low pay and bad work conditions.

But this is the solution. Trying to seal the border is good rhetoric but is a hopeless task. Drying up the jobs that bring illegal immigrants here is something we can and must do.

I had intended to write a longer article to go with this list but chose not to, as I feared such an article would take away from the full impact of this list itself. I will just say that the votes for or against this bill where votes for or against socialism. I say that because nationalized healthcare has always been the last nail in the coffin of freedom.

It is imperative that in order to avoid this free fall into the abyss of slavery to want that we elect leaders and legislators at all levels of government who are strong Constitutional Conservatives and who will bring us back to the path of freedom our founders intended us to follow when first they gave us a Democratic Federal Republican form of government unlike any other the world has ever known.

I firmly believe, as did Ronald Reagan that the goal can be attained only by revitalizing the carcass of the Republican Party. Yes, I said carcass and that is what I meant, for our Republican leadership over the years since Reagan have consistently lead us down the road of socialism that was being charted by the modern day liberal Democrat Party.

If we do not turn our country around in the 2010 elections, we stand to completely lose the freedom our founders. That is to say, the 2010 elections are our last chance, short of armed rebellion, to take back our country and put it on the path of freedom as outlined in our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

If you do not have a copy of these documents, you will find good copies of them here. Read them. Other than the Holy Bible, they are the most important documents for our guidance as a nation. The world needs us to win this battle, else where will they be able to look for leadership. We must restore our status as the shinning city on the hill.

As further reading in the interests of maintaining our freedoms, I recommend Sean Hannity’s Conservative Victory and David Barton’s Original Intent. Both of these are very informative, relatively short, easy reads. The former is about Obama and defeating his radical agenda, and the second is about the intent of our founders, regarding the courts, the constitution, and religion. I believe that at the cost of very little time and money these two books will inform you without wearing you out.

Educate yourselves. Your elected political leaders and legislators and, with one lone exception, the entrenched national media will not properly educate you. That lone exception is Fox News.

Fox News, like Americans in general and much like our founding fathers before us, is right-leaning, and conservative to out-right libertarian. It is because Fox is a conservative network that prides itself on covering all the more popular sides of the issues in depth that it is the lone national network we can trust to give us most of what we need to know or gives us an idea where to find what is lacking, so we can better preserve the patrimony given us by our founders.

It must be said that we, the people, have not always done a good job of preserving our patrimony, but then we have not always had a network that tells-it-like-it-is as does Fox News.

Inform yourself, then vote your conscience in 2010. A vote for a Constitutional Conservative is a vote for freedom.

Remember in November how your legislators voted.

Failure is not an option. The time is the 2010 election. The 2012 election is too late.

The extreme temperatures they are experiencing over there has overcome the Brit’s reluctance to buy Al Gore’s book. In fact, not only are they buying them and taking them home, they are hoping Al will write more books, since his global climate change book has turned out to be so heart (and butt) warming, and very good for the environment, too, because it burns so clean.

The inconvenient Truth about Global Cooling is that it is happening now

Check out this short video to see how those Brits are warming to the idea of buying Al baby’s books as long, that is, as it is convenient and good for the environment.

For the sake of my British cousins I certainly hope Al baby writes more clean burning and, hence, environmentally friendly books that can be freely purchased for practically nothing.

Global Warming ain’t here; Global Cooling is

Click on the link, Global Cooling, for several more videos that will further enlighten anyone who needs it, that Global Warming is a farce perpetrated on the American people for a larger cause, a dictatorial one-world government.

One World or one-world or oneworld or however you want to spell it, the Global Warming crowd wants it

I am definitely of the opinion all the Global Warming malarkey is gearing up to cause the U.S.A. to accept one-world government without a fight. I, for one, am prepared to die fighting rather than give up the hard-won freedoms we Americans have received from the founders of our country and the fighting men who have die already defending it from tyranny.

Buy “An Inconvenient Truth” and read it or burn it for heat or both

And, finally, there is a link in the first sentence of this post that takes one to the book, “An Inconvenient Truth,” so that anyone who is so inclined may buy Al’s book. It is up to the buyer whether they read it before considering whether they should send it to Great Britain, so a Brit or two might be warmed by the clean blaze that arises once it is fired up.

How did Great Britain get to be Great Britain?

I have one more click in me mind. Click on Great Britain and watch the delightful video short, “Remember Great Britain.” Whether you click on any of there links, click on that one and watch it. You won’t regret having watched it, I promise.

Ah, come on now. You aren’t that harried. Take some time and get a little learnin’ in your head by clicking and reading or watching what’s on the links in this post. You might be surprised and surprise yourself before you are through.

Actually, I am just kidding you all a bit. You are standup Americans or else you wouldn’t bother reading this post.

Thanks for reading. My miserable writing would stop anyone without some grit.

God bless you all.

Victory!

Victory, oh, victory; how sweet, how fleeting.

Yes, the Scott Brown victory last night in the Massachusetts senatorial race was a victory; no, make that an astounding victory for conservative America. It remains to be seen just how conservative he is, but it remains that he is certainly a step in the right direction. He was by all means the right man at the right time in the right place to pull off this astounding victory for the conservative cause.

The swift and growing pull to the left in American politics of recent times has been halted for the moment. Now we must make sure we follow through and build on the base of that astounding victory, along with the other recent victories we have had in Virginia and New Jersey, for a true broad-based return to the American ideals of the founding fathers of our ongoing American Revolution against the tyranny of elitism in government.

We have won a few battles lately, but the war is far from won. If we let down our guard for even a minute, we will find that we must win that lost minute a second time at a far greater cost than when first we won it.

Let all now pull even more strongly for the conservative cause of our revitalized, ongoing American Revolution for “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Let us join together as a part or a partner of the Tea Party movement to fight against the left elitist agenda of the Obama government and the cause of the ultra-liberals. It is easy to see what is next on the agenda in their fight to turn our country into another European-style, failed socialist country. We must do everything in our power to stop the bailouts, cap and trade, out-of-control spending, government-run healthcare, and ever higher taxes.

Together let us fight to fulfill the cravings of every American heart for a return of the better economic times of the last generation, the generation of our fathers and mothers. Let those times be not merely a goal but a steppingstone to a greater tomorrow for America and for the whole world.

We have been given the freedoms we enjoy by our Creator. Now we are called upon to share them with those of our fellowman who crave them as we do.

Interestingly, as I write this, I am hearing on the radio that some of our nation’s prominent Democrat legislators are already publicly backing away from not only the proposed ObamaCare legislation, but from other parts of the ultra-liberal agenda of Obama and the other liberals who have stolen the Democrat Party. I said last year that the election of Obama as president of these United States would be the best antidote for our rush to socialism (see my comment here .

We have made it happen. Now we must stop basking in the glory of this victory and start preparing the next one. It is as I stated at the beginning of this article. Victory, oh, victory; how sweet, how fleeting.

We can hope for a Democratic loss in Massachusetts tomorrow, but we cannot afford to expect it. An unfulfilled hope is bad enough; an unfulfilled expectation can be devastating.

A win by Scott Brown will be a vote against ObamaCare and that is wonderful, but don’t be too disappointed later when you discover Scott Brown is a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only). A win in Massachusetts for the Republican Party is a win for better government. Be happy with that for now.

We must take what we can get in Massachusetts; after all, politics in that state has been off-the-chart leftist politics for a long, long time. Change comes one step at a time.

Make no mistake about it; what is happening in Massachusetts has and will continue to affect the whole country. That fact stands whether the Republicans win or lose at the ballot box tomorrow.

The shift that has already taken place there would have been unthinkable just a few months back.

It is time to shout for joy at the great strides Massachusetts has taken toward conservatism. It was the home of the original tea party, don’t forget. Good things can happen there and they are in the throws of happening now: today.

In October My Personal Introspections blog published a post that asked if the United States would fall apart in 2010, as predicted by Professor Igor Panarin and dutifully reported by IZVESTIA. Today the question is will the United States become a socialist country in 2010.

The answer will be yes, if our legislators pass the Obama/Reid/Pelosi health care legislation now being considered and if we, the people, accept this new status quo without a fight. We can stand up and fight to stop this from happening by speaking up and engaging in civil disobedience when and if necessary.

Recently our church leaders across the United States have joined in signing a document called The Manhattan Declaration, which says in part: “We will not be intimidated into silence or acquiescence or the violation of our consciences by any power on earth, be it cultural or political, regardless of the consequences to ourselves.” If you would like to sign this declaration, just click here and you will be taken to The Manhattan Declaration website where you can sign it and become a fellow freedom warrior.

Some very promising news has just come out of Massachusetts concerning the U.S. Senate race going on there between Republican Massachusetts state Senator Scott Brown and Democratic state Attorney General Martha Coakley in the general election race to fill the seat vacated by the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). Brown, who started out behind Coakley some 30%, has substantially moved up in the polls. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in the state finds Coakley ahead of Brown 50% to 41%, with 1% preferring some other candidate, and 7% undecided. This means Brown has closed the gap in that senatorial race to 7%. Should he win, the Democrats would lose their filibuster proof majority in the Senate, which would potentially stop the Democratic health care legislation in its tracks. It would be a seismic shift in the political structure of Massachusetts and of the United States Senate. Let’s hope he wins.

Watch this video and see what you think about Scott Brown’s political philosophy and chances. At the very least I think you will be taken by the commercial for Scott Brown for Senate included in the video.

It has just been reported that Democratic Senator Byron Dorgan has just decided not to run in the coming election. He is 22% behind the Republican candidate, so it is not hard to see why he has given up.

Republicans have a good chance to win in seven other states, as well, so not all is lost for freedom in America.

Just remember that God is alive and He is in charge. Now, go to work, do your best and all will be well. The alternative is too terrible to consider.

WebNote: Read this column then check out the comment section on the NY Times site. Looks like Americans might finally be getting mad enough for that R3volution.

More than half of the nation’s unemployed workers have borrowed money from friends or relatives since losing their jobs. An equal number have cut back on doctor visits or medical treatments because they are out of work.

Almost half have suffered from depression or anxiety. About 4 in 10 parents have noticed behavioral changes in their children that they attribute to their difficulties in finding work.

Joblessness has wreaked financial and emotional havoc on the lives of many of those out of work, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll of unemployed adults, causing major life changes, mental health issues and trouble maintaining even basic necessities.

The results of the poll, which surveyed 708 unemployed adults from Dec. 5 to Dec. 10 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points, help to lay bare the depth of the trauma experienced by millions across the country who are out of work as the jobless rate hovers at 10 percent and, in particular, as the ranks of the long-term unemployed soar.

Roughly half of the respondents described the recession as a hardship that had caused fundamental changes in their lives. Generally, those who have been out of work longer reported experiencing more acute financial and emotional effects.

“I lost my job in March, and from there on, everything went downhill,” said Vicky Newton, 38, of Mount Pleasant, Mich., a single mother who had been a customer-service representative in an insurance agency.

“After struggling and struggling and not being able to pay my house payments or my other bills, I finally sucked up my pride,” she said in an interview after the poll was conducted. “I got food stamps just to help feed my daughter.”

Over the summer, she abandoned her home in Flint, Mich., after she started receiving foreclosure notices. She now lives 90 minutes away, in a rental house owned by her father.

With unemployment driving foreclosures nationwide, a quarter of those polled said they had either lost their home or been threatened with foreclosure or eviction for not paying their mortgage or rent. About a quarter, like Ms. Newton, have received food stamps. More than half said they had cut back on both luxuries and necessities in their spending. Seven in 10 rated their family’s financial situation as fairly bad or very bad.

But the impact on their lives was not limited to the difficulty in paying bills. Almost half said unemployment had led to more conflicts or arguments with family members and friends; 55 percent have suffered from insomnia.

“Everything gets touched,” said Colleen Klemm, 51, of North Lake, Wis., who lost her job as a manager at a landscaping company last November. “All your relationships are touched by it. You’re never your normal happy-go-lucky person. Your countenance, your self-esteem goes. You think, ‘I’m not employable.’ ”

A quarter of those who experienced anxiety or depression said they had gone to see a mental health professional. Women were significantly more likely than men to acknowledge emotional issues.

Tammy Linville, 29, of Louisville, Ky., said she lost her job as a clerical worker for the Census Bureau a year and a half ago. She began seeing a therapist for depression every week through Medicaid but recently has not been able to go because her car broke down and she cannot afford to fix it.

Her partner works at the Ford plant in the area, but his schedule has been sporadic. They have two small children and at this point, she said, they are “saving quarters for diapers.”

“Every time I think about money, I shut down because there is none,” Ms. Linville said. “I get major panic attacks. I just don’t know what we’re going to do.”

Nearly half of the adults surveyed admitted to feeling embarrassed or ashamed most of the time or sometimes as a result of being out of work. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the traditional image of men as breadwinners, men were significantly more likely than women to report feeling ashamed most of the time.

There was a pervasive sense from the poll that the American dream had been upended for many. Nearly half of those polled said they felt in danger of falling out of their social class, with those out of work six months or more feeling especially vulnerable. Working-class respondents felt at risk in the greatest numbers.

Nearly half of respondents said they did not have health insurance, with the vast majority citing job loss as a reason, a notable finding given the tug of war in Congress over a health care overhaul. The poll offered a glimpse of the potential ripple effect of having no coverage. More than half characterized the cost of basic medical care as a hardship.

Many in the ranks of the unemployed appear to be rethinking their career and life choices. Just over 40 percent said they had moved or considered moving to another part of the state or country where there were more jobs. More than two-thirds of respondents had considered changing their career or field, and 44 percent of those surveyed had pursued job retraining or other educational opportunities.

Joe Whitlow, 31, of Nashville, worked as a mechanic until a repair shop he was running with a friend finally petered out in August. He had contemplated going back to school before, but the potential loss in income always deterred him. Now he is enrolled at a local community college, planning to study accounting.

“When everything went bad, not that I didn’t have a choice, but it made the choice easier,” Mr. Whitlow said.

The poll also shed light on the formal and informal safety nets that the jobless have relied upon. More than half said they were receiving or had received unemployment benefits. But 61 percent of those receiving benefits said the amount was not enough to cover basic necessities.

Meanwhile, a fifth said they had received food from a nonprofit organization or religious institution. Among those with a working spouse, half said their spouse had taken on additional hours or another job to help make ends meet.

Even those who have stayed employed have not escaped the recession’s bite….

Between the rising cost of heath care and the expanding role of government, Americans are frustrated. Economists predict that we will be spending 20 percent of our gross domestic product on health care by 2017. Now the president wants Congress to approve a scheme that effectively repeals Medicare and puts the treatment of seniors in the hands of a “federal health board” with absolute authority to approve procedures and cut payments for essential quality-of-life care.

But we can find a bipartisan, workable solution that guarantees access for all Americans to dependable and affordable health care, maximizes the freedom to choose their own doctors, and protects their family coverage during seasons of unemployment.

Every American should have access to the private health insurance benefits that members of Congress have. By opening the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program, Congress could make available just 14 competitively priced nationwide plans and more than 310 state plans. Rather than creating a form of nationalized, publicly managed health care, access to the selection of private plans that members of Congress receive would safeguard patient choice and keep Washington bureaucrats out of the examination room.

Similarly, plans for affordable prescription drugs for all Americans can be accomplished without committing federal dollars to subsidize the costs.

Currently, cash-paying customers are charged a higher price for prescription drugs than insured customers. Different prices for the same drug sold to different people ends up unfairly punishing the poor. Prescription drug reform would provide an incentive for cash transactions and reduce costs associated with credit card fees, check fees and billing that drive up the cost of health insurance.

And that’s not the only place where cost cuts are possible. The price tag of medical malpractice insurance, for instance, is skyrocketing, and doctors pass the charges along to patients in hidden fees. Runaway litigation costs and inflated malpractice awards are feeding a trend of defensive medicine where doctors and hospitals are often forced to perform unnecessary, expensive tests and procedures to avoid frivolous lawsuits. Addressing our health care crisis will therefore require sweeping tort reform that stops trial lawyers from poaching their profits in hospitals and doctor’s offices.

If every patient clearly understood the costs associated with defensive medicine and malpractice insurance, health care reform would be a much simpler task. That’s why Congress must protect the right for people to make educated choices and, if desired, to consult with health care providers to reduce costs in exchange for liability limitations and targeted treatment. The widespread savings that such reform promises for every American would be dramatic and immediate.

Finally, the current economic crisis has awakened America to the harsh truth about unemployment and health insurance. For workers facing record layoffs, the difficult decision between paying for their family’s health coverage or other basic needs is a present reality. As a key component of reform, unemployment insurance should cover the health care of displaced workers while they search for new jobs.

The Democrats’ plan, a 1,018-page bill titled “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act,” won’t hold back the growth of government or protect our basic health care rights. In his administration’s first six months alone, President Obama has proposed 33 new entitlement programs, 53 new federal bureaucracies and $1.28 trillion in deficit spending to address our health crisis.

Americans deserve better, and Congress needs to work on a bipartisan basis to address the health care crisis with dependable, affordable reforms.
