Some things you can expect to see discussed on My Personal Introspections
We delve mostly into politics: its affect on our freedoms, economy, and the future of our republic under God. We will also delve into what constitutes true happiness.
Everywhere we turn we are promised happiness if only we will buy this, or do that: wear this perfume, eat this brand of whatever, drink Coca Cola, buy this kind of car, vote for this candidate, vote for me, believe this, do that and that and that.
Our founding fathers were willing to die defending these words
In 1776, The Declaration of Independence of the United States declared: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Notice the founding fathers did not declare that the Creator promised happiness; rather they declared that the Creator endows people with the right to pursue happiness.
Yes, the pursuit of happiness is the primary pursuit of every human being you will ever come across. The things that affect our pursuit of happiness are, broadly speaking: God, family, country, and you. Yeah, you are included. What did you think? You and I are the most important elements in this equation.
Straight from the heart, commonsense talk
You will get straight from the heart, commonsense talk here. I’ll do my best to make My Personal Insights as much of an enjoyable experience as I can. A lot of what we will cover though will not be pleasant in the least. Those topics will frequently involve politics and the direction the world—politicians and society in general—seem bent on taking us. But we’ll trudge on and do our best to keep your interest and give you a giggle every now and then.
We’ll even have a section-they’re usually called categories in blogese-called the funnies that is dedicated to giving you a giggle or two from time to time. The funnies can be an excellent vehicle to deliver a truth.
So, relax and see what comes next. It may be about politics, something philosophical, a law and order issue, or it may be about some aspect of history, or who knows what. So, pull up your favorite chair, put your feet up, grab a cup or a glass of your favorite beverage and maybe a bite of something good to gnaw on, and stay a while. Together we’ll enjoy a good computerside chat.
As far as I know blogese and computerside weren’t words until just now.
